I first photographed for Laura back in Summer 2016, I did a shoot for her gorgeous kids. After that she asked me to photograph her upcoming wedding. We chatted back and forth for months about how her big day would be, the colours, the theme, the dress, all the people that would make her day amazing.
Then, after what seemed like forever the big was finally here. The whole day was beautiful, it was a crisp November day and the air was cool and clear. Her and Chris chose to have a rose gold theme and it complimented their barn style venue perfectly. They had both their ceremony and reception at the beautiful Milling Barn Wedding Venue. It's the perfect size for a family wedding and is far enough off the beaten track that you feel totally in your own world all day long.
First and foremost Laura and Chris are parents and as Laura said "you never stop being a mum even for one second". They both made sure that the kids were taken care of all day long, it was a big fat family wedding day with a hell of a lot of laughter, a cocktail making class, a bag piper (her Dad is Scottish!) and a Daddy, Daughter dance emotional enough to make anyone weepy.
The kids played all day and so did the guests and me and Karl got so many images from the day that captured exactly how much joy there really was. Below are some of my absolute favourites from the day...
