Jhei and Manuel's Wedding at Oaks Farm

I first shot a wedding at this gorgeous wedding venue back in 2017 when I photographed my cousin's wedding so I was so happy to be asked to come back and capture Jhei and Manuel's stunning September day.

This lovely couple booked me after seeing my work on the Oaks Farm website and we hadn't actually met until the big day itself so me and my second photographer Katie were so happy to not only meet the couple for the first time but also find out that they were such a kind and relaxed pair!

As per usual Oaks Farm provided the perfect place for an intimate wedding day, it's far enough off the beaten track that despite being in the middle of a town you feel as if you're in the middle of no where, the staff are so friendly and polite and nothing is ever too much trouble for them.

This was a beautiful day, the weather was perfect, the garden was stunning and in full bloom and the couple had guests from literally all over the world, the groom was German and the bride was Filipino and I think there were about ten other countries that guests had come from including Italy and Australia.

They had a stunning and very emotional ceremony and then a relaxed garden reception before they're wedding breakfast and the speeches. During the garden reception they had a singer and at one point one of Jhei's friend's joined the singer and they did a stunning duet especially for the bride and groom on their day which brought pretty much everyone to tears.

Jhei and Manuel were one of those couples for whom their happiness was plain for everyone to see, they laughed and smiled their way through the whole day and the only tears cried were happy ones.

The main thing that struck me about this day was that while there were so many different people from all around the world with so many different languages being spoken there was such a sense of togetherness. When one best man did a speech the other translated for the mother of the groom which was so fun to see and everyone spent the whole day talking and laughing and joking...it was the perfect day.
